Christmastime is upon us, and for many it's time to shut up shop and enjoy some quality time with family and friends. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank all of our funders, partners, and followers for their valued support throughout 2022, and the learners for their desire to master new skills and succeed on our programmes.

Our Skills Academies have seen the birth of three new academies, our new digital business administration programme, four brand-new Skill Bootcamps in Construction courses, and the launch of our new domestic retrofit programme.

The company has experienced considerable growth within many areas of the business too, and we look forward to what 2023 will bring.

Whatever your faith or religion or celebrations, may the season fill you with love, joy, warmth, peace and goodwill, and we look forward to bringing you more news, updates, and good news stories in the New Year!

Success Story: Skills Academy Learners Excel on CORE Special Projects Site in Barnsley

Recently, the Marketing and Employer Engagement team, Michelle Reece and Richard Trigg, respectively, alongside the Core Special Projects team, celebrated a significant milestone. Three of our dedicated Skills Academy learners have joined the CORE Special Projects Ltd team on their new site works in Barnsley. This exciting project involves constructing new roundabouts on Higham Common Road and Barugh Green Road, which will provide northern and southern access to the new proposed mixed-use development. Meeting Martin Burton: The Experienced Supervisor Upon arrival at the site, we were greeted by Martin Burton, Supervisor at CORE Special Projects Ltd. With over four and a half years at CORE, Martin's career, as a time-served bricklayer, spans several reputable companies, including Bowmer and Kirkland, Interserve, North Midland Construction, and the Local Authority. Skills Academies Christmas Challenge Countdown Calendar

Christmas is almost here, and the excitement is growing in our academies as we stretch and challenge our learners to design something spectacular for this year's Academy Christmas Challenge!  Using all the theoretical and practical learning from the skills training programmes that our learners are progressing on, this exercise will enable them to further enhance their trade, teamwork, and personal skills, whilst allowing them to produce something they are immensely proud of. We'll be posting teaser snippets of the progress of each academies project, concentrating on one academy per day, without giving too much away, and when their challenge is complete, we'll be running an internal vote and revealing the results from last place through to first place on the last five days of countdown.
